Honduras Giving

These pictures show a feeding event  that occurs monthly in a Honduran village to assist the elders in the community. The first picture is with Maria who coordinates all of the feeding missions in Honduras. The Elders in the village are provided a community meal each month, but even more importantly they each, 30 elders, are given a HUGE bag of dry foods and household goods to carry them through the month. Often these elders are raising their grandchildren because of the devastating loss to families in Honduras. Each month, these elders have a chance to experience community and hear a message about the love and grace of Christ. This is so important at any stage of life, but I would say there is something so meaningful about encouraging those nearing the end of their lives.
